Meet the Team

Shenanigan Stables began in 2020. A lifelong Saddlebred enthusiast and competitor, head trainer Jordan Inman along with her best friend and  co-founder Maggie Higginbotham,  saw a real need for a barn that offers a competitive show program but also encompasses a family-friendly atmosphere with Christian values and a lot of fun!

The program strives to create a drama-free barn where you can enjoy the fun that the show world has to offer and the beauty of the American Saddlebred. We believe that excellence can be attained in our riders through encouragement and consistency. Read more about our team below!

Jordan Inman

Owner, Co-founder, Head Trainer

Jordan grew up riding and showing in the North Texas circuit. She developed a love (or obsession) of horses and the American Saddlebred early on and worked hard to make her dreams a reality. As a working student under the direction of Nicole Foster, she learned everything from training horses, running summer camps, grooming at horse shows, and teaching lessons. . Jordan didn't own her own horse so she sat on anything and everything the barn had to offer! In college, she worked under trainers learning all things hunter jumper and western pleasure. Jordan graduated from Texas A&M in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education. Shortly after she purchased her own Saddlebred. Jordan began teaching lessons and training in the evenings after work. She worked two full time jobs for a couple years until leaving her career as a teacher to be a full time horse trainer and co-founded Shenanigan Stables.

Jordan has a passion for developing show riders, equitation, and developing young horses. She has taken riders to ribbons at large shows such as Lexington Junior League, The American Royal, and the World Championship Horse Show.

Hope Brandwein

Assistant Trainer, Academy Program Director

Hope started riding at the age of 4 and didn't looki back! Showing and riding her Saddlebred in Missouri as a Junior Exhibitor helped cultivate a love for the breed. She then learned anything and everything about how to properly care for horses and run a farm. She moved to Texas and crossed paths with us. She joined the Shenanigan Team in 2022 as a part-time instructor. Her roles and responsibilities at the barn increased throughout the years.  She now assists in working horses and runs the Academy Lesson Program. Hope's "WHY" is teaching the next generation of riders. There is nothing more special to her than when something finally clicks with the rider and horse. She maintains the belief that horses are life's best teachers both in and out of the saddle. Her enthusiasm for teaching exudes in the success of her students. She has taken many academy riders to successful blues in the show ring who now own their own horses!

Karen Singer

Assistant Trainer, Instructor

Karen grew up in Oklahoma as a barn rat aspiring to one day be a trainer and instructor. Her equine education and experiences have taken her from coast to coast working at Cottonwood Creek Ranch, the UVM Morgan Horse Farm, Miller Equestrian Stables, and most recently as the owner and head trainer of Laine Brook Farm. Karen has taken several young riders to National and World Championship wins in Showmanship, Carriage Driving, Western Dressage, Ranch Riding, and Road Hack. Karen's equestrian journey has taught her the importance of patience and listening to each horse as an individual while helping their people to establish feel and connection to their equine partner.

Karen married her husband Patrick in 2017, and in March 2020, was gifted a rambunctious daughter Evie. Most recently an interest in human and equine osteopathy and other therapies have opened a new door to her training and coaching methods.

Christine New

Facility Owner, Client

Christine grew up in North Texas started riding when she was 8, mostly western play days with her chestnut quarter horse mare named, Red. She rode through high school but then took a break from horses during college and veterinary school. Christine graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and eventually returned to the North Texas area as a small animal veterinarian, occasionally riding for recreation. Eventually, another chestnut quarter horse named Tucker came along and reignited the love of horses!

Christine and Jordan met at a local barn where their horses were boarding and quickly developed a friendship. This is where Christine began to love the American Saddlebred breed and started leasing Jordan's horse, Moose to ride in the show ring. Saddlebreds quickly became a family affair!

In November of 2021, Meadow Lane Equestrian Center was formed after Christine's husband, Nathan, encouraged her to combine her passion for caring for animals with her love of horses! As local barns were closing and being sold to developers, Nathan and Christine snagged 30 acres in Rockwall, and grew the facility to a 34 stall training barn. Christine continues to work as a veterinarian, while managing the facility. She also enjoys showing her horse, supporting her daughter at shows, and breeding American Saddlebreds.
